Executive Vice President, Internal Audit

Mitch Mantua heads Internal Audit for Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. and its affiliates. The internal audit function provides an independent and objective appraisal of the company’s business operations and helps the company meet its commitment to operating discipline.

Before joining Schwab, Mantua was a partner at Ernst & Young LLP, in the Financial Services Advisory group. His primary focus was assisting clients with their internal audit and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance groups. In this capacity he served several Fortune 500 companies since joining the group in 2003. Prior to rejoining the firm in 2000, Mitch worked in various finance and operational roles at startup companies, including Controller and Director of Asia Pacific Operations. Mantua has over 25 years of international finance and operations experience in the financial services, software and consumer products industries.

Mantua earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting from St. Mary’s College of California. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in California.
